The first section of this post will be about how snow is formed. The first step in snow formation is in the clouds after evaporation happens from the water and moisture on the ground. In the cloud, if the temperature is below freezing, the tiny droplets start to group together and become crystals. Those crystals will combine and start to resemble snowflakes. Then once they are big/heavy enough, they fall to the ground!

One unique way to look at snowy weather is in literature. When you look at it like this, you can see that the snowflakes can represent a wide range of emotions and topics, a few popular ones ranging from the bad, which is death and sorrow, to the good, hope and peace. Snowy weather has been used for centuries to represent certain moods and emotions.

The last section of this post will be about the storms that make the snow fall in large amounts, snowstorms. My last post was actually on snowstorms which you can see here, but I will briefly talk about some snowstorm facts in this post. Some snowstorms have brought many feet of snow that have trapped people in houses, and some that are also ice storms that bring down tree branches and powerlines. Snowstorms are cool, so if you want to learn more about them, click the link above.
